Green manufacturing
Work is ongoing with projects for optimal utilization of raw materials and energy. Potential for energy recovery and utilization of waste heat will be reviewed. It is also of interest for the company to consider re-use of heated water processes. 


Sydvaranger Gruve AS is a partner in the project GassMat organized by SINTEF and NTNU.
"The overall objective of the project is to investigate the potential for industrial processing of natural gas with the ore / mineral deposits in the North. This will be achieved by establishing industrial clusters where gas and ores are important inputs. It should also be a strong focus on capture and storage CO2. By depositing in the oil / gas reservoirs, where the C02 can be used for enhanced oil recovery, can achieve a virtually zero emissions to the environment. The corresponding food establishment is one of the most important social effects of the establishment of such industrial clusters. "
